I'd say for big releases like GTA IV, MGS4 & Gears 2, preordering is a very wise move. I mean, why not if u know u r going 2 buy it anyway ???
Plus alot of preorders get special stuff even on the "regular" game order = I got a hat for Dark Sector, an Art book for DMC4, & 2 extra weapons via a code for A02.

According to Swedish retailer Webhalen who is boasting some pretty legit-looking box art, it looks like Sony will be offering a Grand Theft Auto IV PlayStation 3 bundle—a standard 40GB PS3 along with a copy of GTA IV for roughly $750. As of right now, the news is still unconfirmed and could be a regional offering only.

However, until EA *completely* changes their business practises & monopolizing approach to gaming, I still won't buy a game that says EA on it. Period.

I totally agree, EA is a shady company that wants to put out gimped sports games, of which they have a monopoly on, every 12 months & charge full price. Now they want to nickel & dime gamers as well FOR DLC that should be on the disc at purchase. I don't see any real change in their attitude, so I will continue to:

Doesn't matter, UT III, like every other UT game, is not a very interesting game. Check the sales of this franchise, they are awful. Mods are meaningless when the game gets boring within a week.
Do yourself a favor, save your $$$ for Gears = the best game Epic has ever made. There are way too many FPS's out there that are far better & much more enjoyable than UT III.

omg another "install" a la DMC4 to run a game ? I thought they delayed the game to fix issues like this...
This guy doesnt garner much credibility with me about the split screen issue, if it ran on PS3, then why remove it ??? Why can't it run on 360 if the PS3 can't run the game without an "install" ???

Now that BluRay has a monopoly, don't expect consumer costs to go down at all. Without competition, there is no reason to be competitive.
I really dont understand why ppl dont buy ext'd warranties on electronics like 360...
1. Bought 360 & 3yr warranty ($50) in 2006
2. Mid 2007 360 RROD, warranty replaced with new unit in 72 hours
3. Since the 360 was discounted from my original purchase, I got a giftcard for the difference & bought another warranty, & still had change left over.
4. Next time my 360 breaks down, it will have been discounted again most likely & I'll get another...

Not true, more ppl play COD4 & Halo, but there are plenty of Gearheads out there like myself that play 3 or 4 times a week. Still my favorite MP game of all time. Can't wait for Gears 2 !
